Some facts about Libya under Gaddaffi:
"Basic health care is provided to all citizens."
"Primary education is both free and compulsory in Libya"
"The Libyan government aggressively opposes fundamentalist or militant Islam because it is perceived as a threat to the regime."
"The government subsidizes medical care and education. A labor law provides for workers’ compensation, pension rights, minimum rest periods, and maximum working hours. The government also heavily subsidizes rent, utilities, oil, and food staples. "

The REBELS we are helping are the same guys we fought AGAINST in Iraq.
This "reconstruction" of Libya is being handled by the very people that bombed the fuck out of it in the first place.

"When Libyan rebels first called out for international aid, the wealthy Gulf was quick to answer: Warplanes from Qatar and United Arab Emirates joined the NATO-led military coalition against Moammar Gadhafi and critical aid and diplomatic support were funneled to opposition fighters.
Aref Ali Nayed, ambassador to UAE and spokesman for the rebel "stabilization team" currently working out of Dubai, said Tuesday that Gulf expertise would be key in areas such as construction and port operations"After they bombed them they set up an OIL COMPANY AND CENTRAL BANK.
The Vatican calls for a global financial governing body.

Super Capitalist Brothers
Since the last article was such a downer I thought, for the sake of balance I should talk about something a little less heavy. That being said, the following may still shatter paradigms.
I was enjoying the New Super Mario Brothers on Wii when I came to a slow realization that one of the staples in my childhood may have been a veiled glorification of the "American experiment" (as the Russians would call it).
Super Mario Brothers is the story of two Italian American plumbers that travel through a fantasy land collecting coins and power ups in order to defeat the evil Bowser and save the princess of the mushroom kingdom. Most would not consider looking to deeply into this, though some have. Check out this hilarious video that shows Mario as a communist. It's a popular meme, the idea that Super Mario is really communist propaganda.

I disagree. It's a child's game and likely not intended as a sociopolitical message to be decoded. Still, I discovered a few interesting parallels that point to the other extreme, that Mario is a Capitalist fighting Communism.
1) Koppas: The main antagonist in the games is Bowser, also known as "King Koopa" head of the Koopa army. The Koopas in the game are turtles. Koopa is a Japanese term for a Korean dish (Kuppa). Super Mario came out in the mid-eightes at the height of the cold war. North Korea, a Socialist workers nation, was isolationist but also becoming militaristic. As with most Asian countries, North Koreans are largely Buddhist or Confucianist; there is no dominant major religion. Just like the Koppa army, North Korea has it's own would be king.

2) Drugs: The dominant religion in the US has always been Christianity. If you are familiar with the work of John Allego and his deciphering of the Dead Sea Scrolls, you may have heard the theory that Christianity blossomed from what was once a mushroom worshiping cult. Everything from the holy grail, Santa Claus and the phoenix myth can be traced back to this magical red and white mushroom. You could say, based on it's origins, that America is the "Mushroom Kingdom".

In the game Mario and his brother chase these mushrooms and when they catch them it makes them stronger and more resilient to attack. This is not the typical result of real magical mushroom intake (perhaps metaphorically). Another power-up is a glowing flower that enables the brothers to throw balls of fire. Again, no flower I know of can do this but there are many plants that also have psychedelic/medicinal properties like the Datura or Poppy.

Opium is used to make morphine and codine, very common drugs in the pharmaceutical industry. It is also the main crop of Afghanistan which was a mainstage of conflict during the cold war. It is an old problem for another Communist Asian country China, which had many years of wars over the plant with the lovable British East India Company.
3) Coins: Mario is constantly chasing gold coins which can be found hidden in bricks (for which he must be on mushrooms to break open) or floating in areas that require a level of risk to get too. If enough coins are collected, Mario gets to play the game longer by being rewarded with "another life". If he tries to get those hard to reach coins he could end up falling to his temporary doom. Modern banking as well as modern Christianity was borne in Italy. Find out more on this in my other blog. Gold coins are a common item in these types of games. Like in life, it is a reward system that adds another level of gameplay if you have gone passed just trying to get to the end without dying.

So what we have is a couple of working Joes, (the central audience to which the Capitalists and Communists were trying to sell their ideology to) who use drugs and money to rise up against the evil dictator and save the the helpless and hapless Princess Peach and her kingdom. If Mario was a Communist he would be just another turtle. It is a story of personal empowerment in tandem with the approach of 80's hero tales and the American Capitalist ideology that promotes individualism and success through spiritual and monetary means.
I know what you are thinking "someone's been eating too many magic mushrooms".
Look, anyone who comes up with a game idea like this was either tripping balls or trying to make a point artistically. I am simply doing the same.

The King is Dying
Dear Sheep,
If you were semi-conscious in 1977 you may remember when Elvis died.
In early news reports they stated the King of Rock "collapsed in his mansion", which is a very eloquent way to put it. In reality we know from leaked information that the King died on his toilet from cardiac arrhythmia caused by an overdose of a medley of prescription drugs; codeine, Valium, morphine, and Demorol.
Artist's rendering:

Thanks to his father Vernon Presley, the rest of the details won't be available until 2027, two years before Kurzweil's Singularity. By that time no one will care for it is well known that robots do not like Elvis.
I know what you're thinking; "What does this have to do with me?" I knew you were thinking that because that's the first thing any sheep thinks about when confronted with an idea.
Looking back we can see the King's decline in the years before his death. In 1986 a book was released about his final years in which Elvis' guitarist John Wilkinson recalled:

Recently another King died of a drug overdose and just like Elvis, his doctor was named his murderer by many fans. In "This Is It", when Michael Jackson speaks during rehearsals he seems "not all there". After watching the documentary, the title had a whole new meaning for me; less "anticipation" more "evidence".
It's easy to make these claims in hindsight. It's harder to make the call before it gets really bad, unless you are paying close attention to the signs.
For Elvis it was:
a) Fat
b) Addicted to substances
c) Unable to stand up
For MJ:
a) Batshit crazy
b) Heavily In Debt
c) A comeback that never came
For both there was a self-destructive level of overindulgence that ultimately took it's toll on the Kings.
And now my point.
The US has been for the last 100 years a beacon to the rest of the world. America was one of the central governing bodies behind the bulging of the middle class that shot the global population up 700% in the last century. It fostered in a new era of technology, medicine, and commerce that gave a simple man the opportunity to live like a king.
That time is ending.
The signs are all there. In the macro sense, the US government has grown considerably. The military consumes nearly a quarter of the Federal budget leaving little money for funding domestic social services. Despite a necessary call for renewable energies and the threat of peak everything, the nation is still hopelessly addicted to oil. Because of emerging global markets, outsourcing and the internet the US is not producing and consuming as it once was. Despite large cash injections the future still looks uncertain and at times bleak.
In the Micro, the average American person matches the country as a whole. Here is the first result of a google image search for "average American":

Just like the other kings, most Americans are on some sort of pharmaceutical or drug. Cancer, diabetes and obesity are the leading causes of death. Many citizens are devoid of critical thought, participating and existing in a superficial world completely disconnected from the real one. This includes persons like corporations which based on their actions are often deemed psychopathic.
An then there are our elected leaders, who prove to us on a daily basis just how fucked up (normal) they really are.

Yes, it's a cock. Sit down, I'm not finished.
Last year I wrote a blog entry called "The US is Bankrupt". I'll let you sheep figure out the point of that.
Recently S&P, a leading US financial research company downgraded the US from a stable to a negative rating. Their reason?
And just yesterday a Chinese ratings house claimed the US has already defaulted on its massive debt.
You may remember the Chinese as the former principle holder of US debt.' The new top dog is...the US. Well, not exactly, we owe the Federal Reserve, which is a private organization, publicly governed (by it's friends).
To offset what is becoming a financial death spiral the Fed's solution is to inject more money into the system. Though this comes with a very real threat of inflation (which means a drop in individual purchasing power) it is the only solution short of a complete overhaul or an economic miracle. Though, historically, some miracles are not all they are cracked up to be.
So there you have it. The signs are all around. This is it. We are fat, sick, broke and going crazy and no matter who we elect into office nothing is going to change. Just like anyone who is addicted, we have to quit the drugs, take better care of ourselves, and get away from the bad people who keep us addicted.
I'm not gonna end this article on a joke because this shit isn't funny anymore.

"He was all gut. He was slurring. He was so fucked up. ... It was obvious he was drugged. It was obvious there was something terribly wrong with his body. It was so bad the words to the songs were barely intelligible. ... I remember crying. He could barely get through the introductions"His doctor George Nichopoulos (aka Dr. Nick) later admitted he wrote the King prescriptions for 10,000 doses of narcotics in 1977 alone...because he cared.

"A year ago, at the end of June 2010, according to data released by the Fed and the U.S. Treasury Department, the Fed trailed China by a wide margin, owning $777 billion in U.S. Treasury securities compared to China’s $1.1121 trillion.
But in August 2010 the Fed started marginally increasing its holdings of U.S. debt, according the Fed’s monthly balance sheets. By the end of August, the Fed owned $784 billion in U.S. debt. By the end of September, it owned $812 billion. And by the end of October, it owned $838 billion."

"At first, the credit-expansion appears to be a stimulated process of economic growth. Interest rates fall, capital values rise and entrepreneurs profit by building up the capital structure. The capital construction cannot be completed, however, since genuine saving is insufficient. The boom rests on a lie, viz., artificially low interest rates, and once the lie is exposed, the boom must end and the bust must follow."
- Jeffrey M. Herbener

Jefferson Memorial Protest
Dear sheep,
Sometimes the Shepard feels insecure so he makes rules. If the sheep don't obey, he sends the dogs.
Original footage
Aftermath
The logic here is the dancers were "causing a disturbance and making it difficult for other people to see the memorial". In reality the officers were the only ones being violent and ended up shutting the memorial down so no one could see it.
What have we learned?
a) No dancing? Some laws are just stupid
b) No matter how small the crime, an officer will and can do whatever necessary to detain a person.
c) Sometimes making a point means you get body slammed
d) Cops are just people doing their jobs, some of them just get an extra level of satisfaction upholding the law.

Zeitgeist 3
Dear Sheep,
If you don't know about the Zeitgeist films, check that junk pile in your brain called 'conspiracy theories and other communist propaganda'. Perhaps you heard Zeitgeist mentioned by ABC News as the dangerous inspiration for Arizona shooter Jared Lee Loughner killing spree but mistook it for a faction of Al Qaeda.
If you have managed to ignore the films thus far, watch out because there are three of them now.
The films highlight a bunch of "conspiracy theories" or "fundamental world problems" depending on who you ask. As the author of the article linked above noted they are indeed anti-religious, anti-nationalist, and anti-capitalist but they are about as dangerous as a granola festival. Seriously, unless you are allergic to hemp and pontification, these films pose no more threat than can be withstood by your epic levels of denial.

This third installment runs 2 hours and 44 minutes. I wrote an in-depth review on my other blog, but it contains a lot of big words so I'll sum it up for you;
It could be worse, you could be a snobby, pseudo-intellectual, socialist liberal, that thinks they know what is best for the entire world.
Is it a good film? Should I watch it?
This isn't Roger Eberts' blog and I'm not gonna tell you what to do. But if you are going to spend 3 hours watching something, you could at least watch something relevant. I bet you sat through 9 hours of Lord of The Rings movies and unless you live in the Shire, they told you nothing about the world around you.
Is it all true?
The third film has some simple points that the filmmaker spends hours trying to prove scientifically. Some people insist upon being burdened by proof. The stuff in these films is about as true as anything anyone can tell you. You have check your facts and trust your sources. Do your own research. And yes, it's true.
Will it make me a homicidal maniac?
A nice suit doesn't make a homeless man less homeless. If you decide to kill people after watching this film, it's because you were a homicidal maniac to begin with, you just needed an excuse.
If you are still worried about it, look at a butter knife; it's meant to spread butter, but in the right hands it becomes a deadly weapon. If you remove the butter knives people will kill each other with spoons. The question you should ask is 'why do they want to kill each other in the first place?' Don't say "human nature" because you aren't humans, you're sheep.
Stop hypothetically asking me questions and just watch it on youtube. It will be up on youtube January 25th before midnight.

Pentagonese Child Porn and The Poetry of Jared Lee Loughner
Sorry for the long blog title but I wanted to kill two red winged black birds with one stone.
You would have to try very hard not to know about the shootings in Arizona earlier this week but I know you sheep are good at what you do so here is a quick recap.
So the sad outcome is these recent victims are the first of the 9,000 people who will be murdered by firearms in the US in 2011. About 150 will be in Arizona and between 2-10% of those victims will be under 14.
Then there's this...
The shooter's youtube account has three videos and has in his favorites another video which is likely authored by him as well. Along with his Above Top Secret account and Earth Empire posts he has shown a unique and consistent literary style.

address contradiction
new statement
For example;
Dubbed "Psycho Haiku" by Duncan Trussell the well known Dutch author, his poems are at times incoherent and bizarre. But not as bizarre as his mugshot.

I not a full fledged neurologist or even half fledged. Actually I'm not fledged at all, in anything but based on the evidence above I'm gonna say this kid has a mental problem.
OK maybe it's just the lighting.
Now, the child porn.
They were searching for people downloading child porn and they called it project Flicker. Yahoo's stock is holding steady, for now.
Pentagon employees were not allowed to view Wikileaks but they could download all the child porn they wanted? I bet there are ice creams stands in the halls of the Pentagon.

I just compared child porn to ice cream. Ugh, I need sleep.

I just compared child porn to ice cream. Ugh, I need sleep.

Dead Blackbirds
If by chance you sheep have managed to raise your good lazy eye and focus on something in the world other than your reflection, you may have seen the reports about these dead birds and fish everywhere.
If not, it's OK a non-sheep has been kind enough to put it all in one place for you;
CLICK ME!
If there are too many options to choose from or you are not feeling bold enough to read a large amount of words pertaining to something other than Kim Kardashian here is a video;
DISCLAIMER: The following does not contain dancing animals or poop references;

And of course we must have Kirk Cameron's take on the subject.
So if the History Channel specials are doing their job, you are probably thinking 2012 or something similar. Before you get your bucket list, lets get our old friend SCIENCE in here and see if he can't help us figure this one out.
Whenever sheep talk about ghosts, I always ask the same question "Why does catching a whiff of Chanel no. 5 make you think your grandma has defied physics?" I understand the connection that scent has with death, I've been to nursing homes.

But it seems like a big jump. It's the same with UFO's; some redneck sees a light in the sky and the obvious conclusion in his mind is it's interstellar travelers from another planet. I'm not saying those things don't exist, but how bout letting me in on the secret alchemical magic that is your logistic reasoning?
Sheep can't be burdened with such things as proof, they start with the answer first then try to prove it. Thanks to the internet you are just one google search away from finding a video or article to back up your ignorant point.
That being said, here is an article I found on google that turns our signs of the apocalypse into something even worse, normalcy.
From the article;
So lets look at the options here.
A) It's Chemtrails because the government secretly hates us and wants us all dead even though we write their checks
B) The Earth is over the whole "life" thing
C) One curious news story has prompted news reporters to search for stories of similar content exposing the masses to a microcosm of occurrences that happen all the time but regularly go unnoticed because there aren't enough boobs/angry muslims involved.
Which seems the most likely? I'll let you decide.
Don't get me wrong sheep, I'm not saying this isn't important. The fact that mass deaths of animals are the norm is kind of a scary thought.
Besides if you are concerned with the end of the world as we know it you may want to focus your attention on the continuing downward spiral that is our economy. We are approaching the US debt limit; the number set by Congress to limit debt accumulation.

For you sheep, it's like the point which you know if you take another sip of that redbull and vodka you are going to spend the rest of the night either fighting with your girlfriend or hugging a toilet and because of all the taurine in your system the sweet relief of sleep won't come until about 11am.
The current solution is to do what we've done before when we reach this limit, raise it!
Timmy Geithner is basically saying instead of drinking less, we should drink more so we build up a tolerance. Spoken like a true frat boy. We'll see what happens when the country wakes up one morning not remembering the night before and finds the car on the front lawn sitting on cinderblocks, the credit card maxed out, an eviction notice on the front door, and a strange old man sleeping next to you talking about 'trust me, my dad was president'.

Too late.

From the article;
"Since the 1970s, the U.S. Geological Survey's National Wildlife Health Center in Wisconsin has tracked mass deaths among birds, fish and other critters, said wildlife disease specialist LeAnn White....In the past eight months, the USGS has logged 95 mass wildlife die-offs in North America and that's probably a dramatic undercount, White said..."
The reality, say biologists, is that these mass die-offs happen all the time and usually are unrelated....Federal records show they happen on average every other day somewhere in North America. Usually, we don't notice them and don't try to link them to each other...."
So lets look at the options here.

Alcohol Worse Than Heroin
One year ago the British Government's chief drugs adviser and head of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs Professor David Nutt made stoner news by having a silly last name and also publicly disagreeing with the government's decision to re-classify Cannabis as a Class B drug.
Home Secretary Alan Johnson responded to Nutt's criticism by firing him.
Nutt claimed that based on the science, his expert opinion was that Cannabis was less harmful than Alcohol or Tobacco and that the reclassification was solely for political reasons. Mr Johnson said Prof Nutt had "acted in a way that undermined the government rather than supporting its work" claiming Nut was "crossing the line" into politics.
The row caused such a fuss that it prompted 5 resignations; Clinical director Marion Walker, Dr Les King and then psychologist Dr John Marsden, chemist Simon Campbell, and pharmaceutical consultant Ian Ragan all from the ACMD.
In an even hilarious twist, his replacement, pharmacology specialist Professor Les Iversen who wrote an article in 2003, stating that that cannabis had been "incorrectly" classified as a dangerous drug for almost 50 years and said it was one of the "safer" recreational drugs, changed his tune claiming 'he had since changed his mind because of new evidence about the dangers of cannabis'.
Well Nutt has returned with a new report published in the medical journal the Lancet. Nutt and fellow former ACMD member Dr Les King founded the Independent Scientific Committee on Drugs and produced a new study that shows our most dangerous drug is also our most popular and widely accepted.
The study scored each drug for harms including mental and physical damage, addiction, crime and costs to the economy and communities.
The modeling exercise concluded that heroin, crack and crystal meth, were the most harmful drugs to individuals, but alcohol, heroin and crack cocaine were the most harmful to society.
When the scores for both types of harm were added together, alcohol emerged as the most harmful drug, followed by heroin and crack.

Here's Nutt in your face Johnson.
Sorry I had to.

The US is bankrupt
I have found, if you want a clear picture of what is really happening in the world you need to follow the money. If you want to be lied to about non-issues, continue listening to the politicians. You need to look at the economic issues to understand the motives of these poo-slingers.
In July of this year Boston University Professor and economist Laurence Kotlikoff began warning "The US is bankrupt". Many of us non-sheep are aware of the official $13.5 Trillion US debt figure. Many don't seem too bothered by the fact that the debt is 60% of our Gross Domestic Product. Well according to Kotlikoff those numbers are a lie!
Writing in the September issue of Finance and Development (an IMF publication) Kotlikoff notes that the debt number is all about how you look at it. The US determines it's debt relative to GDP but when looking at the "fiscal gap" (the difference between the present value of government payments and receipts.) We are met with a much larger figure.
Kotlikoff cites a recent IMF report;
“Closing the fiscal gap requires a permanent annual fiscal adjustment equal to about 14 percent of U.S. GDP.”
With varied options of raising and lowering discount rates this figure can be pushed down to 12% or even 8%. I see the IMF wouldn't let you print an actual figure in your article, what does that mean in brass tax?
Oh boy. So how did this happen Larry?
You mean I can't just blame Obama? But he's so smug! So what's gonna happen, will the sun explode?
But how do we solve the problem Larry my dear? How is Washington going to fix this?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Pull the other one!
Hmm I don't know we did that in 2009 and we are planning on doing it again.
OK so what is the actual number here Lars baby? I have sheep reading this, words make their brains hurt.
$200 Trillion? Wow, if this were any other country we'd be back to living in huts. Indeed, unlike Greece or Argentina, the US is a unique example. The dollar is currently the reserve currency of the world, but signs are emerging from Asia that our time at the top of the hill is coming to an end. The only thing that can save us now is a big old neon distraction..

"In 2009, federal personal income taxes totaled 7.4 percent of GDP in the United States. To achieve present value fiscal balance would require a change in the present value of the government’s net cash flow equivalent to at least an immediate and permanent doubling of income taxes."
Oh boy. So how did this happen Larry?
"How did the United States reach its current state of what could effectively be considered bankruptcy? It spent six decades transferring ever more resources from the young to the elderly, under a variety of different programs described with a variety of labels. Many policies across many administrations from Eisenhower’s to Obama’s—cutting taxes, growing Social Security, enacting Medicare and Medicaid, spending to combat recession, and financing wars—added to the nation’s financial problems."
You mean I can't just blame Obama? But he's so smug! So what's gonna happen, will the sun explode?
"Once the world catches on to the true extent of U.S. fiscal insolvency, the ability of the United States to continue to finance its government borrowing could come to a halt."
But how do we solve the problem Larry my dear? How is Washington going to fix this?
:"One possibility, of course, is that the U.S. government will have come to grips with its fiscal problems."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Pull the other one!
"Another is that the government will print enormous quantities of money to cover its bills—with concomitant high inflation, declining confidence in banks and money market funds, and a serious test for deposit insurance. This scenario is extreme, but not improbable."
Hmm I don't know we did that in 2009 and we are planning on doing it again.

Wikileaks Rap
Rap News does it again with a new video about Wikileaks "Iraq War Log". These guys have always made great videos but this one has a special cameo that sends it over the top.
It is a sad state of affairs when a couple of kids from Australia can give us more truth than an organization called News Corp. This would explain why the host of a comedy show has put together what will likely be one of the largest political rallies in DC this Saturday.
Satire, the age old weapon against disgruntled old men.
Laugh, it's good for you!

ET Shuts Down Nukes Again?
A failure in the US nuclear missile defense system caused a temporary shut down of 1/9th of our nuclear stockpile on Saturday. From The Atlantic article;
Although no information was released regarding UFO activity, the timing and curious release of such sensitive defense information leads this author to think maybe this is all part of the show.
Just last month a panel of former US Air Force and other high ranking military officials gave their testimonies that "without a doubt" UFOs have been messing with our nukes.
This is playing out like some bad NBC drama. There has been a startling increase in UFO talk and sightings. A large sighting on 10/13 in Manhattan and various other parts of the world was predicted months in advance by an ex-Norad official. Just two days ago a Brooklyn resident took this video;
"They go down and then they disappear."
Hmm kinda looks like flares being dropped from a plane don't it. Reminds me of another famous "UFO sighting", the Phoenix lights;
Although there were indeed many unexplainable sightings in Phoenix in 1997, the famous video is most likely, as the US military stated, an A-10 Warthog dropping flares.
There is also a great increase of UFO related main stream media; NBC's "The Event" Spielberg and TNT's "Falling Skies", and movies like "Battle: Los Angeles" and "Skyline" both dealing with hostile alien invasions.
So what are we talking about here? Are aliens coming? Is disclosure near? Are TPTB prepping us for a mock invasion? Or is this all viral marketing for a new sci-fi era in media. This author is still unsure but I hope the ET's are coming. I'm getting tired of all of this.

COICA - The End of Internet Freedom
A bill is moving swiftly through congress that aims to create an internet blacklist that would effectively block our access to certain websites.
From the Huffington Post article on the subject.
"The Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act (COICA) was introduced just one week ago, but it's greased and ready to move, with a hearing in front of the Judiciary Committee this Thursday. If people don't speak out, US citizens could soon find themselves joining Iranians and Chinese in being blocked from accessing broad chunks of the public Internet."
My guess is The Pirate Bay and other Torrent sites will be on the top of the list.
The bill claims to be combating copyright infringement but could it be the pretext for further censoring of the internet. Could Wikileaks be a potential blacklist site?
Read the actual text of the bill on Thomas.

Assange snubs CNN
Wikileaks spokesperson Julian Assange doesn't have time for the interests of sheep. He walked out of a CNN interview when the interviewer egged him on about his personal life.
The interviewer is like; some dude said you had an attitude problem. Assange is like; 100,000 people are dead. This ain't Maury Povich Bitch!
Yes, this is what you've become CNN.

Witch Burnings in Africa
Warning: What you are about to see is extremely graphic. Supposedly this is footage of a modern day witch burning in a village in Kenya circa May 2008. The video shows five older women being thrown and kicked into a bush fire while an angry mob looks on.
Witch Burnings in Africa
Belief in witchcraft is quite normal in Africa both in traditional beliefs and imposed Christian ideology. According to an 2008 NPR report one witch doctor claims;

Just kidding...well maybe just tortured.

Iraq War Log
Today Wikileaks released the Iraq War Log. If you are like me, futilely trying to read some of it like every other non-sheep on the planet and over-loading the server with requests, then I feel your pain. For good summary go here.
So far some highlights; 1328 deaths from friendly fire. Talk about being your own worst enemy. There is video evidence of Iraqi on Iraqi torture that the US military chose to ignore. US allows torture? Sooo 2008. Over 60% of overall deaths are civilians. At least we know where all the AK bullets are going when they ricochet off the tanks. To be fair, a good portion of the deaths are because of insurgent bombs. Indeed there is some evidence that shows Insurgents used people with Down's syndrome as suicide bombers. But like Batman says at the end of the first Tim Burton film; "I made you, you made me first." No invasion, no insurgents. Don't bother bringing up Saddam and the Kurds. We could take this argument back to the turn of the 20th century with the end of the Ottoman Empire and the realization that all that black shit coming out of the ground was not just the Earth's annoying poo.
Wikileaks is certain they have made a "splash" with this recent release with calls from the UN for further investigations. Thanks again UN for another resolution rather than tangible solution. Frontline is calling it "The Secret War". It's not a secret, the sheep just don't care. The New York Times coverage carefully refocuses the blame all around to Iraqi police, Iran and Pakistan. We are giving them 1 billion a year and some of that is going right back to fund insurgents? Yep sounds like a US government accounting system.
Still with what I have seen in the log so far, I can't help but feel a little disappointed. Much of it is just sad reports of mistakes and unnecessary loss of life but there hasn't yet been something extremely scandalous. Don't get me wrong, it's sickening stuff but even sheep know war sucks. As both the US government and Wikileaks have stated, it's nothing new. Yeah war is hell and they lied about some stuff.
I'm afraid if Wikileaks truly wants to get the sheep's attention they need to release the stuff they can handle. That's right; UFOs and ghosts. This is what the sheep want. Imagine that, if Wikileaks held a press conference to expose the government's UFO files with undeniable proof of alien contact. Sheep don't want to see footage from Apache gunships as they mow down innocent journalists, they want to see Grey's and sexy vampires! Besides, most are desensitized from those levels in COD: Modern Warfare. Some who saw the Collateral Murder video were like "Cool, I wanna do that!".
Perhaps that's what the famous Insurance file is. A torrent that has been made available by Wikileaks and contains 1.4 Gigs of encrypted data. In the event of compromise, all Wikileaks has to do is give out the password and the thousands of brave idiots who downloaded it will uncover what is either a major cache of juicy secrets the US government doesn't want you to know or a pirated copy of The Expendables. Black mail or a bluff?
The October surprise timing of this latest release is also a bit suspect. It could be this authors NYC cynicism or paranoia induced by chemtrails but I can't help but think this might be a political ruse. Have TPTB finally learned how to manipulate internet opinion? From what I have seen rich old white men can't use computers. Regardless of what role they play, Wikileaks is already being labeled a threat to our National Security. Last time we had one of those we passed the Patriot Act. One thing you do not do is mess with the security of a nation of insecure people.
Still, this could very well be a defining moment in the Iraq War. Perhaps the civil pressure will cause Obama to keep one of his promises, a withdrawal by 2011. Maybe the fallout will be minor enough to increase transparency as Obama also promised. Politicians keeping promises?Ha! The release of a video interview with a Roswell Grey is more probable.

WIKILEAKS

No doubt by now many of you have heard of Wikileaks. If you haven't, then I am sorry to wake you. Please lay back down, I will let you know if we need a doorstop.
To some, Wikileaks is a mysterious network of freedom fighters trying to create a world where all information (especially classified government) is available to everyone. To others they are a terrorist group of hackers exposing military secrets that put troops at risk. In case any of you sheep are wondering, don't worry your internet porn is not in danger.
Wikileaks is one of those one-of-a-kind things you can't believe exists. Like Michael Jackson; you can't make this up. Or can you? Currently, the drama between Wikileaks and the US government playing out in mainstream media and on countless websites is almost too exciting to be real. I mean the news is supposed to be boring right?
Tomorrow morning October 23rd 2010, Wikileaks will be holding a press conference in Europe to unveil what is expected to be the biggest information leak in history; 400,000 classified documents detailing US military activities during the Iraq War (2004-2009). If this is anything like the "Afghan Diaries" they released earlier this year, it will be another bunch of reports outlining just how much war sucks (like we didn't know). For all you sheep it will be a shitload of words that blur and make your head hurt when you try to read them. Hush now, sit down and have a Diet Pepsi.
Seriously though, I wouldn't be a good conspiracy theorist if I wasn't suspicious of this. Lets be honest, the US government is no joke. They found Saddam Hussein in a hole in the ground. (They would find Bin Laden too if they were really looking for him or if he was hanging out in an oil seep). Why can't they put an end to Wikileaks? Can they not just track down Wikileaks spokesperson Julian Assange with their super spy technology and put a bag over his head? Has the CIA run out of unmarked white vans?
Still, I want Wikileaks to be real and not just another instrument of confusion created by TPTB. You never know. I for one have been and will continue to monitor the exploits of Wikileaks. Like Obi-Wan, they may be our last hope.
K
